Well, to put it simply I am interested, very much so, in becoming an urban explorer. However, i don't really know where or how to do it. So if any of you are still around the area, i wonder if maybe I could ask for an "instructional" adventure, or even instructional e-mail. I absolutely love adventure. Last one I went on was to an abandoned house in Forest Lake. We saw a wolf. Anyway, I would love tips, and places for beginners, and the like. Thank you.

Mr. Action,

Loved the site. Your writing style makes for a enjoyable read. Keep up the historical info. Interesting that such a prominent St. Paul name as Phelan was low life sewer scum (you know about sewer scum, right?). I have found no mention of the Super Bowl of TC infiltrations, too much for AS?:

great site, you guys are young, so many years ago maybe 1970-74 along with a friend we went into the univac caves just north of the Watergate marina, you had to walk for at least half mile before you could get to the cave system. it is the biggest by far,,,, but is now blocked off. good memories, maybe you are all getting older so not updating and exploring anymore? ...

Action Squad makes me wish I was 20 years younger. When the Lilydale Caves were a party every weekend. (Before the city had not sealed all the entrances turning it into a monoxide-laden deathtrap)

I guess I'll live vicariously through you bold adventurers!

(BTW - Wop's Chaos Wheel tattoo looks vaguely familiar... Ever hang out down at the Joint?

This has to be the coolest site in the world. I first discovered it a couple of years ago whilst off sick from work and searching for info on some local subterranea. I found it so addictive I just had to read the whole site 'cover-to-cover' metaphorically speaking. Now I'm off sick again and just repeated the excericise!
Max, your narrative style is so entertaining you could do this for a living, but wait, no, that would just spoil your cult status.
My own UX adventures were limited to the utility tunnels under my old school and that's many more years ago than I care to remember. Early one morning we scared some staff shitless by sending ghostly organ music echoing down the tunnels from my cassette recorder. We very narrowly avoided being busted on the way out though. We also hot-wired the school PA system one day and put some phantom anouncements out from down there. I think they had a pretty good idea who it was but couldn't prove it otherwise my ass would've been toast and my education would have come to an abrupt end!
I hope all you guys 'n' gals are okay and are still up for the odd adventure. It would be great to see some substantial updates here soon, but do take care, better to be living legends than just legends! I consider it an honour to have discovered your site. Long live (all of) Action Squad!

Wow! I really admire what you guys are doing. I never knew a group like this existed, it is really something im quite interested in myself. I actually found myself on an impromptu mission to the U-Lands yesterday evening, and had a bad experience with what I assume was the private security. A search for more information lead me here. you guys are really living, I hope to get a lot more exploration out, now that I know there are more people out there who think like I do.

Adventure, hurrah.

Great Website, I never knew that there were a lot of people into this. I started doing this in Holland a couple of years ago with some buddies of mine at university after finding the original drawings of our studenthouse. Somewhere in WWII they added an underground bunker, which we had to find. After we found it we could't stop. Here it's mainly old WWI and WWII bunkers that are interesting to get into. Holland is so cramped that we do not have a lot of abandoned buildings, and sewers and such don't really get me excited. But great website. As soon as we've set up ours i'll post it. PS: just for the fun of it; try descending in some cooling towers from working chemical plants. Hard to get into the sites, but great abseiling and views.

PRICKS... again hope none of the people i heard about on the news were you guys... AND R.I.P NINJ

Coolness; my sewer cruising days are a think of the past, but your site re-kindled some of those memories. Nothing like looking out of the sewer grates and seeing the world from a different point of view. Our favorite activity was running the 24" precast concrete tunnels on our stomachs, on skateboards. Nice article in the Strib over the weekend as well. Thanks again for the great site. Keep your head down.

You guys are totally wonderful! I'm a mom in my mid-50's and I used to do this stuff in the late 60's early 70's. I lived in a medium sized town growing up, the site of a former state capital and a university town. I belonged to a grouop called "The Night Riders" and we did exactly the same thing! We didn't have web sites or digital cameras to record our exploits, but we were just as good! We started off exploring the university steam tunnels as well. I spent a lot of time at the very top of the former capitol building in the gold dome. It was wonderful and awesome and terribly fantastic to climb to the top of the dome on a ladder. There were other buildings and places, but you woudln't know them.

I love you guys! You're the best and the greatest continuation of the spirit of the Night Riders!
