Oh my... long time ago. Thanks Tony. So many footsteps of me over there. Is there still a small restaurant in that alley? And did you visit the former church, now museum? Leaving Richmond down a very steep road, turn left, straight over the bridge over the Swale up the hill and first corssing right. Direction Hudswell. I stayed at SIX ACRES there. With Florry and Frank. Lovely walks from there on. Ot through the woods to Richmond. Great walks in the Dales but we were taken there by Frank in his car. Muker to Gunnerside and there another one along the lead mines.

Thanks for taking me back there, when I still could walk. Cannot do that anymore. Just the occasional shopping trip but more than a mile is no more possible. Osteo artrosis. Never mind. Memories are always there.

Did the museum switch on the Swan? Have you seen it move? We did. It was wonderful. Been in the museum about 3 times and it's not enough I tell you.
Have you been to Easby Abby just outside Richmond? Great walk as well and not too long.

Thanks again and a little cuddle for Ben. Best wishes, Lydia (NL)

We’ve been enjoying your daily postings for many, many years! We were in Coniston in 2010 on one of our visits to the Lake District and were thrilled to see so many of the beautiful locations you’ve shared with the world! Thank you!

Hi Tony. Great to see the donkey and a local cat :)

That Church is indeed very pretty, you have an eye for beauty, which we all appreciate. Love the stone crow on its roof. And how the graves match it in character. Buildings are made far too accurate these days in my opinion. Charm is often lost.

I found one of those 360 photo spears of the church on google, link here

https://www.google.com/maps/@54.8852738,-3.250608,3a,80.4y,18.34h,94.68t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipOm0WlMdITQm0j2k3TYYhwUek8KjWkfSLyYSwJ7!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipOm0WlMdITQm0j2k3TYYhwUek8KjWkfSLyYSwJ7%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya104.7256-ro-0-fo100!7i7776!8i3888

Got me thinking actually, could you do some photo spears for us? This modern development is a good one. I would not be surprised if you set up a crowdfunding page you could get the cash to purchase the equipment needed. Perhaps something to think about! Love the cam as it is though.

Andrew.

Hi Tony, hope you enjoyed your little trip to Dumfries. We visit some friends there most years - in fact they were showing their car at the Kirkcudbright Classic Car Rally so you may have seen them! If you haven't already visited the Devil's Porridge Museum (1st World War cordite factory)near Annan it's well worth doing so if/when you are up there again.

Ah Tony, we are the fortunate beneficiaries of your early rising. Your photographs often draw that greatest of all photographer's compliments ("Damn, I wish I'd taken that one!"). This morning I murmured that phrase at every image. Thank you!

Plenty of gratitude for the Cam! Been watching it for years. Lovely pictures today. Liked the ones yesterday too and it's always nice to see the locals!
