Hi Tony, It was lovely to see the photo of The Salutation in Ambleside. It brought back great memories of staying there with my Dad in 1975 when I was 13. IT was the first time he let me have some cider with a meal. :-)
Best regards
Jon Ford (Bognor Regis)

Most enjoyable pictures - thank you. We have visited so many of the places - driving, walking, hiking - but your photo perspectives are great. Even the same subject is quite different as the seasons and sunshine (or lack of it) change. One question - does the heading "today's pictures" literally mean taken today or just posted today? If the latter, an indicative date & time would be interesting as well.
We will continue to visit and enjoy The Lake District as we have for many years - from our home the sunny & relatively dry desert of Arizona.

'Sir B would like to swim and join them' I hope he didn't. It's too cold. And I love the sign with the hair and the bluebells. The Pagan fertility feast will be on May 1st of 2nd (Beltane). The sign is fab! greetins from Lydia
