Loved the steam train thanks Tony. We are in Scotland for a few months, meeting our new little grandson. This Sunday we are on a steam train, from Linlithgow, crossing the Forth Bridge on a special day trip. Will try to get some decent photos to send you. I still check how the Lakes are doing, every morning, lovely photos today, thanks. Gwen, south coast NSW, usually.

I check the Lakeland web cam every day. Now that I can no longer manage to walk the fells it reminds me of the days that I used to spend in the Lake District.
Thanks Tony your pictures are great Chris Davies

The pictures of Rydal, with the various reflections, were very beautiful. Nice work, as always.

HI Tony,
Today we loved the photo of the ladybird and the quote about life being hard. We buy ladybugs for our greenhouse as they eat destructive insects and keep our plants healthy. Their breeding cycle is brief, and the baby ladybirds look like baby dinosaurs with a snout and tail. Only later does the tail diminish and the red color appear. Thank you for posting photos all these years. You make us long to be back in England again! Best wishes, Andy and Janet in Alaska

Brown Howe is my favorite spot on the lake. Stunning views every direction, lovely little nooks and crannies along the beach, rocks everywhere, and The Island across the water. Today's calm makes it even more stunning!

Hi Tony. Such a good thing to see WET grass and flowers. It's been bonedry sinds mid May overhere with temperatures well over 24º and since this week it's above 30º. Mind you... it's not that great at all. Too much. So what I did was make your poppy that really looks like a brollie into my wallpaper when I start the computer up. Thank you. It kind-a makes me feel a wee cooler. :)) Best regards and a pet for Ben from Lydia (NL)
