Tell Marcia from Pa that Yorkshire Gold tea is available from grocery stores in British Columbia, Canada and she could get someone to send it to her cheaper than from England.

Hi Tony, I read recently that there was a proposal to reduce the parking spaces and charge for parking at the Walna Scar gate. Do you know if this is going to happen? Climbers going to Dow will have to get up extra early if they do reduce the space, but the downside will be people trying park elsewhere.

Other have beaten me - yes, it's a Banksia Rose, named after Lady Dorothea Banks, wife of Sir Joseph, so famous over here. We have one covering a colourbond fence, outside the lounge room window. They are thornless, and lovely when in bloom - as in your glorious photos, thanks Tony. They take a lot of pruning if you want to shape or contain them, and thankfully our next door neighbour likes it too. Ours is yellow - I think it grows better here than the white one.

Having just returned from 4 fabulous days in the Lakes I had to agree with Geriatric Pete. All our photos now are from low level walks. It was so beautiful still and the contrast between lakeside and the view of mountains and the sun dappled flower and fern filled woods was equally (well almost!) as enjoyable as fell walking. Photos of Grasmere which we had left that morning reinforced our end of holiday nostalgia but great to see and thank you for all your photos. Geriatric Anne High Wycombe

Three tries is a charm. We once took a photo of our Misty draped in the lace curtain and called her the Princess Bride. Course Ben is the wrong gender but he still looks awesome. Could hardly choose which photo to post for background today there were so many beautiful ones.

Hi Tony. Thanks for the great photos. I have enjoyd them all. Including your famous lunch. Tell me, was this one better than the one in Whitby? To me it looked much better, but did it taste better? :))

Best wishes and a pet for Sir Ben. Lydia (NL)
