Bob, we all got so use to reading about you every day this feels like the times you
take the last piece of candy from a box, or going after the last piece of pie only
to find out the kids got to it first. I know I'll live but it would be better with
those, dang it.

I didn't know they made harnesses TOO BIG for Shires; what do they make for the BIG hosses?? The snow looks like it's melted down to about 2 foot deep in Omaha, Spring is acomin'!(Omaha, they oughta know what to do with them pigs!)
Hope the trip home is a safe one, Bob!!

Hi Everyone, Everything is going well here in Nebraska. I plan on returning to Oregon sometime in April for fun filled summer in the Oregon Outback. The Shires are doing well and I plan on continuing their training this week. Don and Taunia bought a nice team harness, so I should be able to harness them and start ground driving them Saturday and Sunday. I'll post another blog in a few days showing how our weekend went. Hey Wagonteamster, It has been awhile since I have left a note. I keep checking in but no updates. I will be glad when you are out of work and back with the boys and Jacquie, Hershey, and the minis. Maybe then you will blog a time or two. I have enjoyed seeing your work with Reuben and Royale, but sweet as they are, they are not the Amigos. I really enjoy going back through the old pictures and seeing those beautiful boys in action. I hope Doc, B.O.B. and Bill have done well over this crazy winter and just maybe, you will be making some side trips around your new home. Looking forward to them if you do. I know the rest of your fans will be too. God bless all of you.

Hi Bob,
It was really good to sign on this afternoon and see you had posted. Before my nephew died in 2011, he lived in Blair and worked at a company that did support testing for Cargill. He loved that part of the country and would fish at Douglas State Park.
I'm glad you found your new friends and keep the teaching lessons coming. Bob, be careful and stay safe.

It truly was a incredible day! I enjoyed watching and learning and being able to do it too. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to laugh when Ruben decided to pick up the rope and offer it to you. and lets not forget Royal who truly is a lap horse through and through gotta love him. even thinking about it makes me giggle a little and puts a great big smile on my face. I sure love those boys. I will work with them until we are able to schedule another lesson. To be honest I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you again for everything. Oh by the way look for pics please.

Dear Bob and Jacquie,
I found your delightful blog just two days ago and have been reading it ever since. I can't tell you how sad I was to see that your trip was cut short, even though you didn't mind so much. I have wanted to make such a trip myself over the years, but have been blocked by circumstances beyond my control. I was excited to see that you are considering a school for teaching the use of draft horses. Since I live in Washington, perhaps I could attend sometime in the future, when my present circumstances change. I grew up in Michigan where my grandfather raised and trained Percherons and Belgians. I learned to ride on his gentle giants and have been a horse lover as long as I can remember. I also have a daughter named Jacquelyn (whom we call Jacquie, of course!) I hope you will continue to blog on this site. I feel as though I've found a friend I haven't met yet.

Your newest Friend,
Connie

Found your site by accident, couldn't believe you started from Missouri Valley! I'm from New Market, just to the east of Mo. valley. Your making the trip I always dreamed about. Hope you get to travel up through Chaco canyon, New Mexico. Beautiful country, been there twice before and want to go back. Lots of neat ruins but carry plenty of water. AAA says roads are awful and you have to have a four wheel, drive but found them to be pretty similar to a bad Iowa gravel road! Give yourself time to see the ruins. Better than Mesa Verde! Hope you have a good trip! Take care,
Lorraine Madsen

WHEEEEEEEEEEE! ON A HAPPY NOTE: THE LOST IS FOUND!!! I WONDER IF HE FOUND A SHOVEL AND DUG HIS WAY OUT OF A SNOWDRIFT??? LOL! All kidding aside, it is so good to see the note from the Wagonteamster tonight. I reread his latest log and looked at the new digs for the Amigos. Saw Bill and Doc smiling back but no BOB unless that is his butt in the new shed. I really have tried but I can't really tell his from Bill's at that angle. LOL! Nice to see their new neighbors, the mini's and the llamas in that blog. Like you, I have scanned back to see where we have been and delight in all of the beautiful scenes that have been provided over the years. Looking forward to the next blog. In the meantime, steer clear of that flu bug, it is a doozy. God bless and stay safe.

Hi guys, Came to see if our leader had left us a good bye message and was so disappointed to see that he hasn't. He left 6 days ago and I thought he would at least let us know he is alive and how the three Amigos loved their new barn before he went to work. Nothing..nada..zilch..not one word. Oh well, I have patiently waited for such a long time to meet him so I guess I can wait for a note from him. I will just fish back to find some great pictures of beautiful butts to get my fix. Hope everyone is staying well and staying away from the flu. God bless you all.

Glad to see all settled in. With Bob headed back to work he will get a reminder how most of the rest of us live. Will be interesting to see if he is still long enough to put down roots.I am thinking an old tumble weed like Bob might gather some other tumble weeds and they might do some sprouting, but I bet one day a strong enough wind will blow him om another adventure. But probably not quite as far from home. Those of us who don't live on the Amigo route are hopeing his adventures make a good book and they will be on the book tour route and will swing into our area's.We would love a chance to eyeball them face to face. Could see them doing the horse fair tour and passing around a little of the insight they have gained on the road. Maybe he could get Jacqui and Hershey to take up the mouth harp and it could be a real dog and pony show. Seems to me it must be time to start a new chapter on his blog, as it seems he has started a new chapter in his life. (I'm just saying.)

About Bob's barn. They will not be tied up in there,no, it is for them to have a dry food source
and to get into out of the weather as they need and want to for themselves. If my memory serves me,
which is getting more doubtful every day, the old Mid-West saying goes something like this.
"In A Storm, Cattle Come To The Barn and Horses Leave the Barn."
Bob, I hope that ole Goat you drive gets you to your PART TIME JOB okay.

Stay Warm and keep your tailgate up. Larry R

Hey Bob, HNY! As a four year follower I've been thinking about asking this for a couple of days, how are the horses going to accept spending their days in this shed, especially after having the wind blowing through their mane for the last 10 months as they were galloping down the road. Hopefully you have made arrangements for these guys to be "turned out" a couple of times a day, because I hate the thought of them staring at a blank wall all day long. It's kinda like working in a cubicle, which I never could do ! Just sayin...

Now we know why blogs have been few and far between. Nice job, Wagonteamster. Listen to your Dad, though. Those winds can peel off a roof like opening a sardine can. I love the pictures tonight and we finally get a glimpse of Hershey. After all the virtual hot dogs he lapped up, he doesn't look the worse for wear. Nice to know that Butterbean is none the worse for wear either. He is a great traveling companion. Alice has been bobsledding to pass the time. She looks great. Dottie and Katz have notes on here as do several other of your passengers in that shotgun seat. We all miss you and yours, but are happy that you are settling in to a "normal" life. I wish you, Jacquie, the three Amigos, Hershey, Mom, Pop, and all of my fellow Wagonteamster Companions a very blessed, healthy and Happy New Year. Via con Dios, my friends.

I hope the coming year is a good one for you, the amigos and the newest members of your life. I have a similar run in barn for my horse. My family cut a window for me a couple of years ago to avoid getting trampled or stepped on during feeding time. My is from the inside of the barn. So once I in the barn, I'm high and dry until the feeding is over.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Bob, the three Amigos & all the Wagonteamster Guestbook friends,
The new barn is really put together great and will serve the purpose with very little problems if any. Great job! Oh, I really miss seeing you and the horses in those great pictures, but I know you are
happy and safe and that means a lot to me being a friend. Just stay safe while traveling I-80. My nephew lived in Blair, NE and I traveled I-80(from Ohio)when I would visit him and it can get scary fast due to bad weather. Wishing you and yours a wonderful and safe Happy New Year. Give all the horses my love and remember to lean into Doc and whisper that Bonnie still loves him the most.

Howdy Mr. carpenter.......

Good looking barn !! Are those llamas or Alpacas ?? In addition to the section of 'roof cap', you will need to cover that soffit on the south side, to prevent those strong S. winds from getting a lift on the roof. Have a Happy New Year & a safe trip across blustery I-80. I would allow 4 + days this time of year....lots of horizontal snow !!!

Stay Safe, Pop
