NAQCC ID 9062. Still trying to get online with CW. At the moment, I’m still operating FM only using a BF-F8HP HT, but I’ll be pounding out CW as soon as I can get my hands on a suitable transceiver.

Looked you up on QRZ.com John, after hearing your QRP signal from your attic antenna on 30m long path, then followed the link to this fascinating site, what a wealth of information and a great inspiration for many old and new Hams. I often seek out US QRP stations on 40m and 30m long path, most don't realise they can be heard Down Under and have to get me to repeat my callsign before they believe it! The long path is very reliable, but not many CW operators in VK6 to take advantage of it. I can make stateside contacts most days, an hour or two after my sunrise, late afternoon/early evening US time.
GL and 73, Phil VK6GX.

I work qrp portable from my car usually in the parking lot at work. You and my dad were instrumental in my going qrp. I don’t make a contact each day but have been getting more contacts using my cootie key with my Xiegu G90,at 5 watts. Look forward to your 10,000 days in a row

This is one of the best sites for QRP CW operation, tips and news. A very motivational site for CW. Thanks John for keeping this site interesting. 73's to all.

Hi John,
Stumbled upon your web site and read about your amazing experiences with ham radio. I'm a new ham only about 6 months under my belt, obtaining my General in January 2021. Just started researching and delving into CW. Unfortunately, began late in life into this fascinating hobby. Do have background in electronics and computers so at least that has helped tremendously and the fact that I've always liked learning and reading technical things. Appreciate you sharing your experience online with everyone. This really helps us new hams. Thanks again. 73
