I've always wanted to visit England, never made it off the Continent myself, but now that I'm retired I might finally make it, my son's been pushing me to do it, but your beautiful photos have inspired me to make some serious plans. The Lake District is the most beautiful part of England I have ever seen, maybe the most beautiful place I've seen in all my 75 years of life. Every photo looks like a still from a beautiful movie, and somehow the overcast weather makes it even more so. It feels like a place straight from your dreams, someplace you always wished to return to. Thank you for inspiring me.

Hello Tony.
The dogs at Hawkshead look very much like Fell Terriers.
I brought one back to Canada many years ago.
His name was Punch.
We enjoyed his company for over 15 years.
