Lexi has a point there.

Your city is along the Soo Line (railway)- Even Max himself has explored the Soo Line Building, anyway- I grew up in a city on the Soo Line in Canada and there are definately "bootleggers" tunnels in that Soo Line town- the tunnels connected what was then, the three hotels in the town. An hour or two north, on the Soo Line, is the City of Moose Jaw, where there are extensive tunnels under all of the downtown- one was for bootleggers and the other was a Chinese immigrant 'city'. The Moose Jaw Tunnels are now a paid tourist attraction. I"m sure every settlement along those tracks has at least some kind of bootleggers' tunnel system- simple or elaborate.

Hi Max Action and Team,

A really terrific website. I really enjoy the pictures with the very complete commentary with the story behind them. Great new layout format too.

I also like yoyr attitude of gutsy but careful "pedal to the metal" exploring !

I look forward to more of your adventures!

Your site rocks!! I can't wait 'til your next adventure. I spent hours reading every page.....

The corner of 6th & Hennepin downtown supposedly has a tunnel leading from under the TGI Friday's to the Plymouth building across the street. It used to be lined in marble, but when they renovated the Plymouth building, they used the tunnel marble for the Plymouth building stairs. Word has it that back during the prohibition, when the hotel was at the City Center spot, the bellboys would use the tunnel to get liquor to their best hotel guests.

I've done lots of research on that area.....I worked at TGIf. Back in the 70's it was a porn theatre. Cool, huh?

You guys are the best! Your website both chilled me and made me laugh very hard. I don't want to sound prejudice, but Max Action is the man. And everyone else in the Squad rocks, also. I hope to explore some of the abandoned buildings that downtown Tampa has to offer. You guys rule! Stick to your mission and purpose. Oh yeah, is that mummified cat from the ghost town expedition still somewhere around you people? I hope!

Oh, and I'm still pissed that I got waken up at noon for breakfast. Grrr.

I really enjoyed your site. When I lived in Pennsylvania,
we used to pass the time exploring abandoned coal mines &
associated outbuildings, 19th century water company dams,
gates & structures, and condemned houses. Now I can often
do it legimately as an archaeologist. ;&rt; I look forward
to future updates!

An impressive website from the darker side of the study of urban archeology.

I do wish you would document more of the outide of the buildings you are entering.

Also, the profanity is entirely unnecessary and diminshes your work.

I look forward to more of your adventures and some bios of your members without compromising their identities.

Regards, James M
