I was flyin solo tonight, attempting to decend the Hellhole when I was startled by voices and footsteps. I took off due to a lack of wanting to be eaten by a clan of drunken transients. While there however, it became apparent that others had been in the building recently. The lab coats and the hoses kinda gave it away along with the half smoked cigarettes. I'm sure many of us would appreciate if the purveyors of these acts didn't make it so FUCKING obvious that they were there. That's what causes entry points to be sealed off. And on another note: What's up with the twig?

You guys kick BUTT! Great website, great adventures!! Please consider adding a PayPal donation button to the site - what the hell - even if only a few people donate it might pay for the next set of batteries! I just spent the better part of two days reading of your adventures (I'm kin) and would certainly have donated to ya. Keep exploring!

Kyle - On top of many other periodicals that have already published this information, if you read Action Squad's article published on this site, you will find that the City of Saint Paul has been looking for ideas of what/how to turn this property into something profitable for a few years now. There has been some signifigant (okay, maybe not TOO signifigant) work being done on the property that constitutes some lights being lit. Go in at night, avoid the places that are lit up, you'll be just fine [been there, done it].

Fred Jamison - The reason that happens is because of AdWare. I had the same problem [completely unrelated to porn thank you]. Run an Anti-virus and follow instructions for removal, the problem will be solved.

A few weeks ago I noticed that the Mineral Resource building at the U appeared abandoned. I came across this site when I was researching the Cambridge Mental Hospital. I read the section on the Mineral Resource building and decided to check it out. I made a preliminary trip last week to determine a point of entry. Today I went back with two friends an was very impressed with what I saw. The building is the most complex structure I have ever explored. The extensive graffitti in some areas detracted from the mystique of the building but overall is was a very enjoyable experience. I have explored caves and buildings in two states and this building is rivaled only by a blood filled serial killers home that I videotaped two years ago. My thanks go out to Action Squad for providing a wealth of information to public on a subject that is hard to research- the great art of urban exploration.

In light of recent situations I must regretfully request that anything involving my alias is removed from your website for fear of interrment on behalf of the Office of Homeland Security. My pictures, anecdotes, and any references to my involvement. I am in such paranoid fear of special forces teams descending upon my home and escorting me through the cover of night into some desert bunker for excruciating interrogation that I cannot eat. I must step down as an AS operative at this time. Or I'm totally joking.

When did protecting our nation become a campaign to stifle the curiosity and bravery of our children?

Whats Your email address??? I have some questions re Carvers Cave (below Indian Mounds park in the rail yard a few hundred yards from warner road).
An elderly (adverturer) and I researched and explored it by rubber boat about
20 years ago. There is an underwater opening into a larger (supposedly) cave
system. We found the opening but without diving gear were unable to explore
it. Any of Your guys checked out Carvers???? It is best to park at a distance and walk into the cave area to avoid attention.

Cool website, of course I am sure your web hits went up by the thousands after the Pioneer Press mentioned "action squad" in their article on the people arrested in St. paul over the weekend. Your stories are interesting and sometimes amazing, photos are cool to see, just a thought though, be cautious, hate to see you get arrested for something that possibly gets blown out of porportion for your reasons being there. Great info on the "U-Land" aka: The U-property (the old gopher munitions plant). Me living close by I never knew about some of the buildings out there. I would say stick to the 100% abandon buildings and tunnels, going to Ford could cause for a heck of a criminal history to start out with, for such an adventure. Have you ever heard of the tunnels around Hastings? I guess there are a few near the Vermillion river and Missippi river that go under the town and may possibly end up at an old well known Mansion just off of HWY 61.

I just wanted to pass along information about Saint Louis tunnels. I know that there are a lot of tunnels here under the city placed by Anheuser-Busch when they first opened. They stored the beer barrels there to keep them cool. Also, I have heard of slave tunnels here. Someone who wanted to research it could find a lot of information on them. When riding the metrolink, you can see tunnels downtown at one point. There are also TONS of abandoned buildigns in Saint Louis. Hospitals, Plants, take your pick. Half of Saint Louis buildings have been abandoned. If the Action Squad ever wanted to explore here, we will give you a place to stay, we just want to see pictures first! Keep doing what you're doing. It's great!

I heard about the abandoned prision, only from a website I stumbled across. I know of no one besides the creator of the website who has been or heard of it. Has anyone noticed lights on in Hamm's Brewery? I went there about a month ago and tons of lights were on. Does anyone know the deal with that?

Great idea with the Yahoo Groups mailing list update notification thingy. Ooh, and TWO updates in rapid succession, too...
Of course, we can hardly wait for the NEXT updates. It's too freaking cold to be out getting into stuff right now anyway, so you really ought to be chained to the keyboard for a while playing catch-up.
We're grateful for anything, though- THANKS MAX!

Hey! just stumbled on this site by accident... holy shit! I never knew there were so many people who like to do the same stuff I do... I'm a student at the U and It's so refreshing to hear that there's at least SOME people who are doing truly interesting, creative, gutsy, innovative and intelligent (and fun!) things rather than sitting around drinking or getting high.
Thank you for reviving my faith in human kind.
keep on breaking the rules.
peace.

I think that Billy Joe McAllister doesn't know shit and should be banished to a life in the street begging for change in order to buy listerine so that he may get his jollies the gold old fashioned way rather than engaging in the harmless act of urban exploration.

Keep it up!
The flour mill picture with the set of holes in the floor - this is the remains of a man-lift elevator. Sort of motorized conveyor going straight up that doesn't stop moving, one stands on a small step and up you go.. just remember to get off at the floor you want. I had to use one on a job. Fucking scary the first time I took a ride. Someone salvaged the machinery in your photo.
Toronto had a fine abandoned elevator/mill that the city demolished most of about 5 years ago. Newer machinery, and bigger, but the same idea. Lots of squatters salvaging the metal bits, so exploring it got more and more dangerous as stuff like the metal stair steps would progressively disappear.

Hi Everyone, I just thought I would let you know that I was taking some newbies caving last night, and I came across some bad news, we went to Harriet Island first and founds some caves, but they were party caves and pretty boring. So I decided to take them to hamms and found that the buildings are active. There were lights on, on both sides of the street and it appears they have put in new lighting. There were a couple of truck drivers there, so I decided that we should just leave. I'm afraid someone has bought the hamm's/stroh's brewery. So if you haven't gone you should get there fast!
