It appears that we'll be having a great turnout for our AE / AOE Sailors Ass'n. Reunion on September 11 - 15, 2013 in Nashville,TN. There will be plenty to do and I can assure you that you'll all have a great time. You can participate in all of the activities and / or you can pick and choose. There is also activities for the spouse. There is one catch and you must be a member which is a cost of $15.00 per year. From the Suribachi years 1965 - 1967 those in attendance will be John Frazier, Phil DePietro and myself. It's my understanding that there are to be another (3) or (4) from our time period, but I don't want to give their names until I find out for certain.
Does anybody know the location of Robert, (Bob) Hicks? Originally I believe he was from Kansas.
Also, if any of you that were in the Med in 1966 on the Suribachi would like a copy of our cruise book let me know. I've put it on a cd. I've provided several copies to Bachi sailors who in fact lost their copy.My e-mail is attached.
Hoping to see more Bachi sailors in attendance from the 1965 - 1967 time period. Of course I'm saying that because that is the time and ship that I served on. All sailors from all years and all AE / AOE's are welcome.

Just last week 3/20/13 I discovered a mate on my bowling league as a like veteran of the USS Great Sitkin AE-17 where we served together unknowingly prior! I will now share this site when I see him next event night!
