Father Patrick Sheridan, how to start this brief note I'm not quite sure, for you may not still be around Mt.Argus, although I know this note will find you. But it has also been quite a number of years, after all, Class of 72, CBS Kells is a while back now. I hope you remember me, for reasons and reasons, over the intervening years, you have constantly been in my mind. I have made some half hearted attempts to find you, never saw them through but was with Brother Frank O Connor in Baldoyle a fortnight ago and said to myself.......now is the time.

I spend a fair bit of time around Mullagh, in and out of the hotel and the odd visit to John Joes, God be good to him. In previous years, when you and I were much younger than we are now, you would have been so good to your old neighbour May Farrelly. I would not have known at the time but she spoke so fondly of you. I am married just about as long as have you been a Priest and I married a niece of Mays...

I hope you are well, you have not changed much over the years, I saw a couple of photos on the sites. If you have time do drop a mail but above all, next time you are around home, please let me know, I would love to meet if you had the time. Do you have contact with any of the old school brigade ? Only occasionally do I meet Robbie Mc Cormack, in America for years and Liam Dunne now in France. I lived in Kells for seven years and used have contact with some of the old crew.

Condolences to all in the Passionist Province on the recent death of Bro. Denis CP. Denis was a friend of our family in Monaghan since the 1940's and continued that friendship up to his death. He gave his life to the service of God as a religious and touched the lives of so many people. Deepest sympathy to his extended family in Donegal and beyond, to his many friends and to his community in Mount Argus. May he find true rest in the peace of Christ.
