I came across this your website via the Ditdit.fm podcast. I am just starting to explore CW as a potential hobby and this looks like a really great resource. I don't have a rig yet and I'm not sure I could reach North America if I did have an affordable transceiver but I hope to get some practice and contacts via the internet. Cheers - Paul.

Licensed in 1981, I was 100 percent QRP cw until a year or so ago. Went QRO but realized I wasn't doing significantly better than I was at 5 watts. So, turned down the Icom 7200 to 5 watts, put a 10 amp PS behind it (don't need 30 amps for 5 watts), and voila.

My first QRP rig was a Ten-Tec PM1 bought in 1971. I still have it.
