The home side is to the right, and will include a press box and an elevator. To the top of the picture will be the basketball arena.

Hate to say it, but it looks like the worst district in the state. The Eagles and Mavericks would be better off in the 4A district with Boerne, Uvalde, and a few others. Only because the teams are better and have more respectability around the area. When you say you are in the same district as all the Laredo teams, people usually say you'll be out by the 2nd round, just because the district alone is watered down, and no true competition comes out of it for the play-offs. Now that there are 10 teams, they will only play 1 non-district game. They better make it against a powerful opponent, not Carrizo Springs or Monterrey Tech. The travelling would actually be better if they opted for 4A. Uvalde, Boerne, and South SA teams, same distance to Laredo. Good Luck.

The district alignments were released today: District 29 is made up of the 7 Laredo Schools, Eagle Pass, Eagle Pass Winn, and Del Rio. There is a total of ten teams in our district now. San Antonio Southwest was realigned to District 28 with the Corpus Christy schools

Texas is gonna have a really sick defense for years to come. By the way, for those true die hard EP Longhorn fans out there, I suggest you check out Orangebloods.com, which has the best Longhorn sports and recruiting coverage out there. Hook Em!

To PA or news: An article that appeared in the Zocalo ( http://www.zocalo.com.mx/seccion/articulo/repararan-casas-en-malas-condiciones/ ) clearly shows that the commissioner in that precinct had nothing to do with the renovation and repairs to the homes. This was done by representatives from various churches headed by the Primera Iglesia Bautista. It should not surprise you that these local politician want to take credit for the work of others and have no shame in stealing the limelight that they don't deserve

***food for thought***
Most of you are probably still wondering what the heck happen to the Cowboys....just forget about it, there's always next year. (For the Record I'm a Tenn Titans Fan). However, this is the weekend you should root for the New York Jets to win.

Why you Ask?

Because they have a third-generation, full-blooded Mexican-American as their Quarterback&rt;&rt;&rt;Mark Sanchez! So for all of you fans of Mexcian Athletes or Mexican-American parents who have kids playing football....it can be done!

So what you are saying is that it is the AD's choice to not tie teaching and coaching jobs together? I doubt it. Policy is set by board. If you didn't know this, I guess you also must be as slow as you claim the AD to be.

Now I know why Eagle Pass has problems you’re just as slow as the AD. Let me explain myself for you common folks. When I wrote time classes and a certain sports are tied together, I meant that the teaching job and the coaching job are tied together as one. For example, if there was a math opening and it was tied to a coaching spot; the person who applied for that teaching spot would have to be able to coach. If this person were to get fired fired from his coaching duty he would have to give up his teaching spot. This would allow the head coach to bring in coaches and not have to worry about where to place them. Before you start crying, this is how’s it done to other cities and the AD knows this, yet it’s not done in EP. The AD is a to do boy for the higher up, he’s not doing what’s best for the coaches, kids, or EP!

Seriously!! do you even know what your talking about? The AD has worked elsewhere and is "not" political, does what right for the kids, understands AND repsects UIL rules, and the district. Look elsewhwere to blame...bringing home questionable characters? Seriously!!!!! Get your facts straight or tell the "Coach" to his face....! The coaches, their gonna be just fine, give them time to work with the kids.... Academics and athletics are in tune as long as you dont "sacrafice one for the other" right???????? NO PASS NO PLAY ALREADY TAKES CARE OF THAT. Didnt Northeast ISD just drop "block Scheduling" for financial reasons...?

I'm sorry, but the coaches we have right now are good enough. Coach Tom Gonzales is a great coaches who already has playoff wins in his resume. He'll be at EPHS for a long time. As for CC Winn football coach George Ruiz, he improved CC Winn last season and needs to be given more time to create a playoff contender in the Mavericks.

I'm really glad to find more than one lady is currently participating in college athletics. Best of luck to all in class and on their prospective field.

p.s. Thanks to the person who gave the update.
