Found this web site just by luck. Made me very nostalgic. I went to East End Junior School and then to Bush. Left in 1963 and 1964 started work in Lloyds Bank Ltd. Pembroke. In 1974 I married Stefan Walter who was the German Assistant at Bush School from Sept 1972 till July 1973. We have both been coming back to Pembroke yearly since our marriage and in 1992 bought a small cottage in Stackpole. Sadly Stefan died in December last year, but I still love to come back to my roots. For the past 27 years I have been working in the school library of the 'Grammar School' where Stefan taught. In 2 years I am due to retire. Lovely to see the old Penvros. Will log in again to see who else has been in touch.

Returned to Pembroke in 1971 and started a Chartered Surveying General Practice. Overwhelmed by support from former staff as well as pupils. They proved to be friends and or clients including both headmasters who had shown me the error of my early ways in the traditional manner! Many were teaching colleagues of my late wife and some were even there when both our children went to Bush. Recently rescued from being a debonair widower by Shan Griffiths from the chemist (Castle Pharmacy) 1958- 1964.

Great site and great to see and read the penvros. I went to East End School, then Lamphey school then the great Grammar School. I have lived locally mainly in Tenby for 30 years when I married Johnny John and had 2 sons sadly he died in 1988. Met up with Guy Thomas about 17 years ago (he was also widowed) and finally married him in nov 2007!! I have one grand daughter aged 20months and Guy has 2 grand daughters 5 and 3 and one grandson 4 months old.
He has calmed down a lot since the school days!! about time and we now live in Lamphey he is still working. Lovely to read the guest book and find out where everyone is these days. Keep up the good work. The Fant will never be forgotten I would think by most of us.

I joined Bush after being rescued from Milford Grammar by B.J.Davies and had some wonderful times there.
I've been married to Liz for 39 years and have two children, Morgan and Vikki.
I've been in the oil & gas industry since 1968 and am currently working in Perth, Western Australia, one of my better locations, having spent the last 34 years working all over the world in some interesting locations.

My cousin, Michael Edwards, alerted me to The Penvro website this morning and I am still here! It has been great to see my old schoolfriends again. Number 158 is Pam Myers and 315 is my late beloved sister, Veronica, who died extremely suddenly in October 2007 at the age of only 62. I worked as a secretary after leaving school at 15, became a biology teacher in 1969 and taught for thirteen years at a secondary modern school. When my two sons finished school, I finally went to university - Kings' College London, gaining a 2.1 at the ripe age of 44 and taught at a girls' grammar school until I was 63. We visit Pembrokeshire regularly to walk the coastal path and will be there during the first week in July 2009. If anyone would care to meet up with me, my email address is a.ensom@btconnect.com.

I've had great fun looking at some of the photos and old copies of the Penvro! We did have one reunion when we were all 40 organised by Susie (Collins), now sadly not with us and Caroline (Hughes). Good to look back at the photos and information. I have good memories of my time in Pembroke Grammar. The content of this site certainly stirs those memories. I was a boarder at Bush House when Mr Hewish was housemaster, he was succeeded by Mt William Key and Mr John Bevan assistant housemaster. Miss Brown was Matron and her authority was supreme.They were good days and I remain grateful for the opportunity to attend that school.

What an education. I only appreciated the sport but it prepared me for life. The highlight for me was representing the school at things I loved doing, even the Urdd Eisteddfod !
Will always remember playing for the PGS 1st XV and beating Llanelli GS 1st XV at Llanelli, a miracle. I think it was John Jenkins who made a reverse charge phone call to Mr Lloyd to give him the result, happy days.
I passed exams in spite of my ability and because of the excellent teaching. Now I am a happily retired Head of PE .
I can still hear Thumper Powell 'Jones boy' !!!
Keep up the good work, a brilliant idea.
