Attended school when it was in Bush Street. Came back to teach at the Coronation School so many happy years. Married Ted Ridley. After he died I moved to Australia to be with my Daughters and near my son in Dubai. Planning to make a trip over this year Still very much in touch with Golfing friends and family.

Being a 'Bush House' boy I came across this site when looking up old chums at Bush House.
I left Wales (and UK) in Feb 1966 and went with my family to farm in NZ. I have also lived in Australia for a number of years and married a Sydney girl in 1974.
I have been back to UK several times and keep in contact with a couple of Bush boys.

Regrettably I do not access the Penvro website as often as I once did but, having just done so - to read the obituary for Pauline Jenkins I decided to sign-in to the guestbook to make the comment that I consider this is a function which 'thePenvro' fulfils admirably. With each year that passes obituaries will become more regular and the Penvro will be a vehicle to keep many of us 'up-to-date' and familiar with the details of those who have passed.

was wondering the web and stumbled across the Penvro , in particular the article for a 1966 play called the Devils Disciple which strangely i remembered clearly with total embarassment... i was the hang man in the play and somehow had the rope stuck around the neck of the key player ... the waves of laughter were unreal and for someone who was incredibly shy destroyed any aspirations for a career in the arts!! Good to see that this initiative is ongoing. Tried to get to the reunion 10 odd years ago and got as far as Cardiff .... ended up on a plane to Ecuador whilst you guys were swapping stories.... retired as Group Chief Engineer of sab miller, no 14 on the FTSE Rod

Really enjoyed flipping through the pages of 'Grammar' history. Congratulations to the web team on a great piece of work, and thanks for all the memories of good times which you've now put out there for our kids and grandkids to connect with...Babs('55-'62) and I, now retired,split our time between Ontario and Arizona. Although we enjoyed our work stops on in Kingston(Surrey), Kingston(Jamaica), Cardiff, and Ontario, Pembroke is still home and we happily recharge the batteries at Freshwater West, and the King's Arms every couple of years...

I have a photo of the original 7 of us that started boarding at Bush House. Also I have all the names of the people in 1958 photo and a photo of the 1959 group. I just want to say a huge thankyou for this photo...it is of my dear departed dad Gerald Edwards known to all as Farmer.
He died in 1993 and it is absolutely lovely for my family and I to be able to see this photo.
My dad was a lovely man, the coxswain of Angle lifeboat and a true character known to many people: I have an 11 year old son named Jack and he is like his grandad in so many ways including the cheeky sense of humour! My dad didn't live to see him but they would have been best buddies....if anyone has any memories of my dad, I'd love to hear them!

Directed to this site by my sister Jayne (now Kemsley) who still lives in Pembroke. I have just retired (well, almost!) after 36 years in the NHS , 30 of them as a Consultant Anaesthetist in Swansea's Singlteon and Morriston Hospitals. Married since 1980 to Martin Collinson , GP ... 2 kids , Joe a junior doctor in Cornwall and Sarah an advertising director currently working in New York. Always interested to hear news of old school friends....I am in touch with Jan Doran and Perryn Butler, and have seen Karina Russell and Janet Davies in the last 10 years - but have lost the rest of you. so ..Hello again.
I'm a keen sailor and skier, an enthusiastic gardener and until recently we had a small flock of sheep - well, being Welsh, you have to really dont you.......
