Comments:

Thanks Mr.and Mrs. Skelding and Mr. Rayburn for confirming my suspicions. Bob the Teamster is fine and enjoying himself, but horse B.O.B. is bored out of his skull. Hope he doesn't get a belly ache from all of those blogs he ate last night and today. I noticed he has belched most of them up tonight on my end. Guess he did have a touch of indigestion. I hope that is the last trick he plays on us. We miss re-reading the blogs if no new ones appear. Bob the Teamster is going to have to watch that one closely. He could teach the other Amigos bad habits. Nice to hear that the Teamster keeps in touch with Mom and Dad. Speaks well of his upbringing. All of us who follow his journey closely feel like he is part of our extended family. We really enjoy traveling along with him even if it is at a distance. May God continue blessing him with great weather, good campsites, and good company. Sue

Hey Don,

It is interesting that you brought up about the sheep. I think great minds run along the same lines. When I posted his location earlier this week, Bob had just written that he was going out to count sheep. I had a longer message in my mind that resembled yours, to put on the map, but it would not fit in the little box Google gives me. So I just put the short one that is there. Thank you for the laugh.

Bob,
I have been following you since you started your trip. I have especially enjoyed the western trip with you. The pictures have been outstanding, they make me feel I am on the wagon with you. My husband and i traveled many miles in the western states by motorhome. He passed away almost 2 years ago and I miss him and our trips together. You have helped me enjoy the beautiful scenery again. You have proved to us all on this journey how many wonderful people there are in the USA.
Thank you from all the people who would like to be with you.
Be safe on the road,
Carol R.

....HEY BARRY.....

Like you said, everything since 7/20 fell off the cliff !! I suspect the culprit is horse B.O.B..... He has spent the last 4 months pasturing with strange Horses, Elk, & Cattle & seemed to enjoy....Now suddenly he is told to count & mingle with SHEEP & LAMBS !! I think horse B.O.B. has started a silent protest about DIGNITY, in support of John Wayne & all the 'old time' cattle ranchers......just a thought!

I notice he didn't disturb your map section because you have cattle & horses!!

Hope you enjoyed the county fair & keep smiling,

POP

The web site came up for me on my second try, but the last 8 days of postings are gone. I think Bob posted 3 or 4 that are missing. I hope it is a temporary problem and that he still has the missing post in his computer. The GPS has been sending me locations this week. You can see where he is at this address

I sure hope his hosting company gets the site fixed.

Hi Bob You have mentioned before about an EVENER. Today you said you were going to buy a new one. I am guessing that an EVENER is what I know to be what is called a DOUBLETREE which the SINGLETREES are attached to. If this is incorrect please explain. It`s been some years sience I was associated with the subject. Thank You.

Compliments to you on having the courage to "sell out" and "move on" to a life time dream of the simple life. Your method of pursuing your dream is unique, and very interesting, to say the least. May you and yours have safe travels until the day you decide to have your wagon wheels stop rolling.

Hey Buddy, So glad you are winding your way, albeit slowly, to our part of the world. Such beautiful Amigos. Glossy coats, muscles out the wazoo, absolutely gorgeous. Keep the pictures coming. Loved the ones with the kids on Billy Boy. Especially with the 3 riding backwards. He has become as tolerant of silly kids as Doc. LOL. You didn't look too unhappy not fishing in that inviting river though. Looked like a pretty steep descent to me. Of course, that is from a seasoned shotgun armchair rider. LOL. Pat the boys for us. God bless and safe journey home. I AM WAITING PATIENTLY. Take your time. LOL. Sue

Hi Bob and Team,
From your picture with the large cut on your forehead, I knew that B.O.B. could handle the convict, but it was YOU that I was concerned about holding your own. Silly me!! The team looks so good with their manes trimmed and those muscles ready are a testament to what hard work can do for a body. Keep the great pictures coming and like POP says, keep you powder dry and close by just in case. Give Bill, B.O.B. and Doc a love pat from me. Be careful and Godspeed!

Great trip! Glad to read about someone with horses traveling the country.

Just to clarify a few comments regarding the Forest Service at Trujillo Meadows Campground and other forests:
I live in Colorado and travel on the National Forest lands every weekend, all year long.
The Forest Service only restricts horses in some, but not all developed campgrounds. The Forest Service DOES NOT restrict horses from large areas. There are incredible opportunities to disperse camp on public lands with horses.

Bob, keep an eye out...two jail escapees from CO were confronted just NW of Dulce yesterday; one ended up shot by the Jicarilla Tribal police when he tried to assault them...the other got away, and is said to be dangerous(was jailed on assault w/ a deadly weapon charges). He is 24, white, shaved(not newly)dark hair but very light-skin, appears clean-shaven in mug shot, eyes look brown, but can't tell for sure. Name Jason something.
Just so you can be aware....

Hurry up and put something on the blog or you're gonna loose readership like ol' George did when he went to Israel.

Now I have to do some apologizing for something I said on here.. Joyce read it and got angry because she said I'd
insulted the memory of Clementine and she wouldn't have it... So here goes..I DO HEARTILY APOLOGIZE FOR CALLING THAT
DIMWIT CHELSEA A BITCH... and I hope you and Clemmie forgive me... I was angry at the time and engaged my fingers

Dear Bob, Bob, Bill and Doc,
I would just like to tell you how I found your website! I was doing research on pioneers, wagons, and hand carts. Your link poped up in a search and I was off and reading. The reason for my research was because Our church( The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints) Takes the youth on a pioneer handcart tek. WE reinact the Mormon pioneer hand cart trek through Martins cove, and sixthed crossing, Wyoming. Your Blog gave me courage, and reminded me that its ok to rough it. Getting away form the crazy busey life and slowing down is good for everone. Here is a link to a newpaper article about us! http://www.bismarcktribune.com/lifestyles/faith-and-values/article_8bde4d6c-8acf-11df-86fd-001cc4c002e0.html?mode=story

Id have loved to have had a horse and wagon but we made due on human Power pushing and pulling. Thank you

We are still doing the CMO and she is getting very good at it and can keep up with the young horses of our group. We rode at Marti's and celebrated the year anniversary of being together by getting first place all 3 days. I promised you she would have a great home and she does. She wants for nothing and would probably like it if I left her alone more often, although I think she really likes the fly spray and she actually grew a tail(albeit a small one) from all the grooming I do. Remember if you get anywhere near us on your return trip to Indiana come visit, but you CANNOT have Joyce back. LOL!! Keep blogging and posting pictures. I love to see places I probably won't get to visit, but once I visit the site I feel like I have been there. You insire those of us who wish we were doing what you are doing. Keep safe and keep roamin!!

Message for KIANA CRAWFORD.......

You seem a bit confused !!! last year ( 2009 ), Bob was in Franklin, IN in July ( TRIP # 2 )

................ This year is ( 2010 )....Bob is located in S.W. Colorado ( Try TRIP # 3 )

You have missed 9 months of great travel across Arkansas, Texas, N.M., & some great scenery in Colorado ! Catch up on the last 9 months of great scenery & come on back & give everybody a fresh opinion.

Very kindly, Bob's Pop....Don Skelding
