hi all just to let you at the club know ,the sophie pearson annual bike ride is taking place on the 24th of july , starting at rhymney golf club at 10.30 . 10 miles of fun raising money for the childrens heart unit . this yr we are trying it in fancy dress . refresments and entertainment back at the golf club .we have a fab day every yr and raise alot of money. sponsor forms available from myself or jeff

Sad to learn of the passing away of the mother of former player Darren Sullivan. Every sympathy to the family, apparently the funeral at the Cemetery in Rhymney is at 12 noon Saturday 3rd April, no earlier details yet. Akky.

Good Luck to all our sides this weekend, good effort against Abergavenny last Friday by the Firsts. I hear there's a Memorial Service for Gilroy Jones this Sunday afternoon (28th) at St David's Church. I'm away but I know some people hadn't heard of his passing in time to go the funeral last week and may wish to go along.

Reference Acky's question about Scots visitors. Not sure if they will be the first to play Rhymney but they will not be first Scottish team to play at Park. I remember playing for New Tredegar Youth in the late 60's against Jedburough. It was played at the Park on a Friday night under lights prior to the international.
