Neat site...was chasing the new FG-1D Super Corsair! In Casa Grande we host two very neat fly-in's...the Copperstate in Oct. and the Cactus Fly-in in early March. We were lucky to host both Super Corsairs...Racer 57 owned by Ron Pratte of Chandler, AZ and flown by Larry Perkins, pilot extraordinaire. The 2nd Super Corsair was Bob Odegaard's Racer 74 who was a winter visitor at CAF Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ. Bob O. restored BOTH Super Corsairs...sold Racer 57 to Ron Pratte At Cactus Fly-in the in March 2012, we hosted the first (and sadly, the last) appearance and flight of BOTH Super Corsairs! The last two flying and then...Bob Odegaard was killed last Sept while flying Racer 74...then there was only ONE! I'm over joyed to see you guys found another one and have started the restoration!
