I had the opportunity to visit the Warbird Heritage Museum and it is an absolute must for any aviation enthusiast. The aircraft are meticulously maintained and are fully operational. If you have a place in your heart for warbirds, look no further. I cannot wait to visit again in the future!

Unbelievably pristine aircraft. I worked on FA-18/A model Hornets in the MARINE CORPS. The aircraft of Warbird Heritage Foundation are not only pieces of history but works of art as well. I intend on being a frequent visitor. If I can be of any help or assistance, let me know.

Comments:

I toured the warbird collection with the Abbott retirees yesterday. It was outstanding. At lunch they were all buzzing about it. Thanks for a great tour and discussion. I never knew we had such a great collection of aircraft at Waukegan. Excellent web site, also.

Just came across your web site, Very Very nice. I wanted to say that your A-4B was listed in it's history in VSF-3 the Chessmen in the USS Intrpid in Dec of 1966. My Father James McGaw was the Tech Rep fro the squadron on board the Intrepid on that cruise. I'm sure that you may have members that may have known Jim. He worked for Douglas from 1965 till in Passed away in June of 1975.
Anyway, I still miss him, and Miss being around the Birds too.
Sincerely,
Michael A. McGaw
