I remember the night we went and took some of those shots in the precinct and town. You were the man responsible for getting me into photography.

It is very interesting to see those old pix of BBC ETD & Daventry.
I was there in the early 80s!!
Presently i am still working in the BBC Far East Relay Station in Singapore @ Kranji.
Hope to corresponse with you . I am into old antique watch collecting, old retro game consoles & old LPs esp the Beatles, etc.

Hi, what a coincidence, I was just looking for some stuff on Workington when I found my way to your interesting site. my late father John G Barnes was from memory born into a house in Church Street Workington. I have no idea or knowledge of any family history, particularly since I have grown up around Birmingham. A few years I did meet another Barnes family who live around the Whittington are of Staffordshire and who also apparently hail from Workington area so the name seems to be well used in the area. my only remaining family are two cousins who still live in the area. I expect the chances of any unknown relatives is small but if you have any idea I would be most interested. Many thanks I enjoyed the site, best wishes, Chris Barnes
